It's a.....

So, Wednesday we went in to the doctor for the Ultrasound.  I'm 21 weeks and ready to find out what the sex of this baby is...and more importantly to know that everything is looking the way it should be.  So we get in there and the lady doing the ultrasound said that we were going to look at all the medical and then we could have some fun and find out the sex.  It didn't work out that way.  Within seconds after the picture shows up on the screen, I look up and I'm like, well I know what we're having.  Sure enough there was no mistaking that the baby was a....BOY!  This boy was not bashful at ALL.  The best news though is that everything is looking healthy and the way it should.  We are so excited to hear that things are going well and now look forward to welcoming a new boy into our family!

Christmas 2011...finally

I'm so behind in posting, it is quite sad.  But I figure but late than never right?  So, Christmas was a lot of fun this year...as it is every year.  This year we spent it with my side of the family.  Everyone was there except for Shaun and Melanie. They came out for Ryan's wedding, so coming back out a few weeks later wasn't in the cards.

Jason and I decided to go ahead and celebrate Christmas Morning at our house a couple days early.  We did this so that we could enjoy our celebrations for Christmas Morning our way, then pack up and go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  So here is the Our Christmas:

First we had the kids open there one present the night before.  Here are some pictures of them opening their presents.

Kiera got a pony set and Rylan got a bunch of Dragons. Pretty cool.

Then we put them to bed and waiting for the next morning. They slept in to their usual time. I don't know if the they completely grasp everything yet.  They get the toys and opening them up.  Kiera understands Santa is special and brings presents...but I haven't gotten them to get overly excited for Christmas morning yet. Which you can kind of see in the following video.

When they came down the stairs they were excited to see their toys. Even in this video you can see.  It's not like the come running down stairs and straight for the toys that they got...they stand around looking at it for awhile.  I think Rylan was quicker to enjoy his toy with Daddy's help, but Kiera has to take it all in I guess.  I can promise you that both the Barbie Camper and the car garage has gotten plenty of use though...

Then we opened up the other presents.  I think overall they did quite well....Daddy likes to spoil his kids.  I have a hard time keeping in a budget.  Some of the presents are also from Great Grandma and Grandpa from my Mom's side.  We had fun and the toys have been played with.

Kiera ended up with a barbie movie, a tigress from Kung Fu Panda, some dinosaurs, and all the Princess Dolls from Disney.  Rylan gots some dinosaurs, cars 2 the movie, duplos toy story, cars 2 cars, and a few other small items. They seemed happy overall with their load, and we had fun watching them opening them.

We then went up to my parents and enjoyed the rest of Christmas with them. As a special family outing we went bowling, had pizza, and got to play laser tag.  It was a fun evening with the family.  I did get a few pictures of that, though they are not very good....

The kids really do love bowling. Of course I think Rylan enjoys anything with a ball....Here a couple of other pictures that I got:
The bowling alley had a VIP room for group packages...it included a cartoon playing for the kids.

We had to keep a close eye on the kids, Rylan got way to close to where the balls come out...just doesn't listen well.

Bad picture, but this is my brother Eric.

My brother Jason doing what he does best, picking on me.

Jodi waiting to bowl her next shot.
We really did have a lot of fun together.  Christmas morning was a lot of fun. Rylan and Kiera both got really nice presents from Grandma and Grandpa...Kiera got a nice barbie house, and Rylan got a fire station.  I haven't taken pictures of them but I should....I will have to do that soon.  I know, I'm a slacker.  I wish I had more pictures of the whole weekend since we had the whole clan there. It was the first Christmas with Jodi, Marinda, and Lex as part of the family and we had a blast!!

Flower Girl

My youngest brother Ryan recently got married to the love his life Lex. It was Dec 10, 2011. Kiera got the wonderful opportunity to be the flower girl.  She was the cutest flower girl EVER. Of course I realize I'm biased..but really she was cute. Here are some pictures of her on the big day.
