Where did the paynes go???
Just a quick update..I'm sorry that I have not had anything posted lately. The big reason why....our computer is broken. :0( We bought a new laptop a little over a month ago now for Jason's classes. Well, I was using it one day about 2 weeks ago and it was fine. Then a few hours later, Jason gets on to take his class, and the screen is broken!!!! Have no idea what happened, it was only a month old. Well, Best Buy only will take it back up 14 days, so we have to go through the company - Gateway. We send the stupid thing in, and last Friday I get a call. "I'm sorry, customer neglect is not covered under our warranty." Customer neglect, I don't think so! As I said, I have no idea what happened, which means it wasn't our fault, right? I mean for the screen to crack and it be our fault, we should know what we did. They wanted another 450 to fix the stupid thing. So of course I had to tell the lady how stupid that was. To make a very long story short, it was long day, dealing with people who are not willing to listen, and in then end still thinks it was our fault but will only charge us 200. I know that they have to protect themselves as much as possible, because I could be any crazy person off the street lying to them, but please, its a month old and there is no other sign of abuse! I'm so frustrated with the whole thing and have decided never to buy a Gateway again, they ain't getting anymore of my money. (love my english?) Anyway, so I got the phone call today that I should expect it in 2-3 business days. As soon as I get my wonderful computer back - I will be back to posting some wonderful news of Kiera and pictures...She is so wonderful. Of course I will also have news of me and Jason too...but we aren't nearly as interesting.

Almost..Almost...Not Quite Yet
Well everyone..just a quick update in the life and times of Kiera Payne...and how it affects her parents. :0) As I'm sure all you parents out there understand, when it comes to your kids the journey is constantly giving you conflicting emotions. You have this wonderful beautiful child and as they start to roll over, crawl, talk, and walk you are so excited to watch their achievements. To see them learn and grow. Then ther is that other side of you that gets so sad because this wonderful beautiful baby is growing up just way to quickly. Well, today my baby girl is 11 months old. Granted, I know that I have a whole lot of these moments ahead of me...but where did my baby go??? Yes, she is still tiny and loveable...and she isn't saying anything that makes sense...sometimes I wonder if Mama means what I hope it means. But she is getting big! I look at her baby pictures and just wonder where all the time went. Kiera is now working on walking. She can't do it yet, but below are a couple of pictures of her favorite way to do it.

She is working on her balance. She needs to hold onto Mommy or Daddy's finger. After seeing her cousin walking all over the place last weekend she started to get motivated. Today, she found her balance for a moment, took three steps toward me and then fell into my arms. If I hadn't been there she would have face planted into the floor, but it is progress. At that moment, I was so proud of her, and then I got a little sad. ( Which is where all the above talk comes from :0) )

Labor Day Weekend!!!
Well, Labor day Weekennd was...interesting. We had the whole family home for it. My dad and the boys decided to have a "guys weekend" and go golfing all weekend long. So, this is how we spent our weekend...

Friday: Jason had work in the morning. My brother Jason got in late on Thursday so he decided to come over and hang out with me a little bit Friday morning. He left to go to lunch at Grandma's and my husband came home for lunch. After lunch Kiera and I went shopping!! I would say it was fun, but it was just to the local Walmart. I had groceries to get and I had to get some things for my primary activity Saturday morning. When my husband got home from work my Dad, brother, and husband went golfing. So, Kiera and I set out to fill up water balloons for the primary activity. I should have taken a picture of this, but I was to frustrated to even think about it. The stupid balloons broke whenever I tried to put them over my bathroom facet, so I had to use the attachement that came with it. The attachment was for the hose outside though. So Kiera and I went out to fill them and we ended up having a water balloon fight with the water balloons....the Water Balloons won...we were both soaked by 10 min. into it. The stupid balloons kept breaking. I took a break to feed Kiera and put her to sleep and then back out to the balloons for me. My loving husband though came home and felt sorry for me so he let me go get a movie to rent and get the pizza while he and my brother finished the balloons, all like 300 of them.
Saturday: We got up and I had to be at the church at 8 in the morning and Jason had to met up with the rest of the guys at 8 as well so that they could go golfing. Our primary activity
was a water activity. We played water baseball. I think the kids enjoyed it for the most part. Then Kiera and I went home and waited to her from Jason. We finally called and found out that they weren't coming home for lunch, and were going straight over to the country club to....golf somemore. So Kiera and I took a nap and then I got ready to go a reception that night. Kiera got back at Daddy for being gone all day by getting into the cabinets under his side of the sink. The reception started at 5 and would take like 15 min to get to. We then had to be back in Jasper at my parents house to watch the BYU game at 6. By the time Jason got home and ready, there was no way we could get to the reception and back again. So we went straight over to watch the BYU game. Great news...BYU won!!!
Sunday: Finally we got to spend some WHOLE Family time!!! We had a big Labor Day dinner with steak, salad, twice baked patatoes, and chips and dip. It was a great dinner. We even had homemade ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. After dinner us kids went down and played the X-Box 360. It was fun. I think for the most part we all enjoyed being together.
Monday: The guys went golfing again. So Kiera and I did our usual and went over to my friends house to scrapbook. The boys called at 1:00 and we met up for lunch at Applebees. After that everyone was off to their flights. Jason got into his rental car to go to St. Louis and my Mom and Dad took Shaun, Melanie, and Landon to Lousiville. I went home with my husband and after Kiera got up from her nap went and played with Kristyn and Kari again. They of course wanted to play the X-Box. It was fun to spend some quality time with my little sisters. Even though I live close to them with the crazyness of day to day living we don't always get to spend quality time together.
Over all it was a great weekend. Though I did spend most of it alone, I know that the guys needed their quality time together and that it helped build bonds. I also know that I enjoyed the little time I got with my family! Don't they all look great!
