Rylan - 4 months

Well, my little man is still getting bigger. He hates the bottle, the moment the nipple hits his lips he starts to scream. This is making it difficult for Mommy to be able to ever get out. It figures though, my first hated to breastfeed and my second hates the bottle....can I get something in between??? Rylan also hates his tummy time. He has learned to roll over, but half the time he gets so mad he doesn't even think to do that. Today Jason learned that if he throws Kiera up in the air and catches for some reason, this makes Rylan giggle....it was quite entertaining to watch. We are enjoying watching him grow and see his personality come out. Already you can tell he loves his sister. I find it quite amazing sometimes to see what she can do to him before he finally screams these days. Jason was even envious the other night because Kiera was able to get Rylan to laugh before he was able to. We love him so much! I doing my best to enjoy this baby stage as much as I can. If only he would go back to sleeping through the night.....

Jason turns ...

Well, October 1rst my lovely husband turned the big 3-0!!! Wednesday we went out to eat together at Texas Roadhouse!! Love me some steak. This was a treat since we haven't gone out for steak for a long time and Jason loves to go there..then I took him to Cold Stone, since he loves ice cream. It was nice to take some time out for ourselves and I think Jason had a good night. On his birthday I made him some lasagna and then for dessert we had Jason's favorite, boxed cake! Yum Yum. I wish I had pictures but the darn camera wasn't handy so, sorry I'll do better next time.

Seeing the site in Salt Lake City

So, a friend from Jasper was driving through and stayed at my mothers house. So the next day we took her up to Salt Lake City to show her around. We first went to the Conference Center and had a tour...then we went over to the Visitor Center. There we went up to see the statue of Jesus. There we tried to get pictures...but of course Kiera only wanted to point and say "Jesus" or "Star" so I couldn't get her to look at the camera very well.

We also got pictures on the outside of the temple. It is a beautiful temple that is for sure. Some time when I get moved in and get settled I really want to go to a session there...It would be sooooo cool! We also saw them putting lights on some of the trees getting ready for Christmas, already. They said that they start the first week of August, isn't that crazy! I'm so looking forward to being able to see Temple Square during Christmas this year, I've never been able to do it before and I hear it is beautiful. Anyway, we then got some lunch and went to see the Prophet Joseph Smith movie. My mom took Rylan, since she has seen it many times and I haven't. Though I still had Kiera and by the end I was about to go crazy. I understood that she wasn't going to sit still, but could she have at least stayed quiet? No. It was still an amazing movie though. It is always heart-wrenching when you see and think about what the early pioneers went through... What Joseph Smith went through. The physical pain, the time away from his wife, the kids he had that died...being an outcast among so many people, and he stayed true to what he knew was true, to what he knew Heavenly Father wanted from him. It truly is amazing and makes me feel stupid for complaining about the things going on in my life. Its like my problems don't even compare.

Well, it was a great day and we had fun. The last place we went was This is The Place Monument. Kiera enjoyed getting to run around for awhile. Though she was also starting to cranky given the fact she hadn't had a nap all day...finally got a good picture of her though....
