Well April brought a lot of excitement. At the beginning of the month Tex decided to be gone for two weeks. So what do we do, we decide it was time to get some kittens of our own. So started the great kitten search. Jason first found this kitten:
She was so tiny! Very low key temperament and loved to be up on the shoulder. We named her Shadow. We then started to look for kitten number two. We thought it would be good to have two so they would play together. So we found this kitten:
This one Kiera named Tigress. We kept both for a little while, but found that their personalities weren't really mixing. So we found a home for Shadow while she was still cute and little. Then continued our search. We finally found and settled on this kitten:
You can see that the kids love to torture them. This one is male and we decided to name him Bandit. Of course as our luck would have it Tex did decide to show up and some point in all this and was not happy to find two new kittens in his house. Fortunately for him his original owners were ready to have him back so we let him go home to them and we continued to be just a two cat house hold.
I continue to wonder what I was thinking allowing two new kittens into my life. I just have to watch my kids with them though and I know.

| Kiera decided it would be fun to climb into my closet with all the blankets and cuddle with Bandit. |
 |
| She stayed on the floor level. |
 |
| Then it was Rylan's turn to cuddle with Bandit in the closet. |
 |
| Of course he had to climb to a higher shelf though. |
Then there was Easter, but I'll write about that later. At the end of the month we went to Idaho for a trip away. I got to spend some time with my sisters and see my Grandma Theresa and Grandpa Jack, and the kids spent time with Grandma and Grandpa Payne. My group spent a lot of time looking for my sisters prom dress, and I'm happy to say we found it. :0) While Kiera decided to get sick at Grandma house. By Sunday when we picked her we thought she was doing better. She was eating and not throwing up. By Monday though the diarrhea set in and by Wednesday she was throwing up and not keeping anything down. We ended up having to go to the hospital because had gotten dehydrated. I happened to have my camera on me, and debated taking pictures and decided that it was a moment to remember, even if it wasn't happy and cute. So here is my baby girl in a hospital bed. She was so out of it.

At the end of the month Jason thought he would get the kids a bubble machine. So here they are playing with it outside on the porch.
