Spring and Playing in Dirt
Why is it the kids love playing in dirt?? Spring has arrived and with it, I have a little girl who would gladly spend every waking moment outside. Fortunately I have this wonderful thing called a screened in porch, which means I can let her play in it and I know where she is. She gets to be outside, and I don't have to worry about her running into the road or something. As we speak I am at the kitchen table typing this post and she is out in the screened in porch. While, one of my first experiences with doing this, I discovered that I needed to move my flower pots out of her reach. There are no flowers in any of them, but plenty of dirt. This is what I found...she was having so much fun, but boy did she make a mess!!!

The Trip West
So, my cousin Jessica got married in March! Almost the whole family went out to be a part of it. I don't have any pictures of it ( cause of course when you want your camera it is no where to be found right.) But it was a great day. I was so happy to see Jessica get married and happy...and it was great to be in the temple where me and Jason was married...it brought back so many memories. I'm so lucky to have found Jason, he is truly wonderful. But back to Jessica :0) Her and her husband looked so happy and in love. I love to see people on their wedding days, that moment of pure joy.

While we were in Boise, of course we made time to see the other side of the family. So Sunday and Monday were dedicated to the Paynes, and Kiera seemed to make her self right at home...which for Kiera is pretty amazing. She took to her Aunt Jessica so quickly, I was shocked. Kiera is usually very cautious around people she doesn't know very well. But she went straight to Jessica and they were buddies the whole time.
Of course Grandma and Grandpa Payne enjoyed time with their Granddaughter. We spent the days enjoying Kiera's energy and playing games. I think Grandpa loved to watch her go crazy over the animals. They have two dogs and I don't know how many cats. All are mainly outside animals, but the dogs and like one cat are allowed in once in a while. The dogs sleep in the house at night, so when Kiera would get up the morning they would have a rude awakening. The dogs were probably happy to have things back to normal again. Grandma had fun as well, here are some pictures of her and Kiera playing.
Everyone enjoyed spoiling Kiera, she got a lot more sweets that she normally does at home. I guess thats part of spending time with Grandparents right?
After Boise we headed south to Utah. We got to spend time with my Dad who has been living out there by himself working at his new job. I got to see the new house my family will be living in and can I say WoW. It is a nice home, 4 bedrooms plus a master, its got a big kitchen, a nice size laundry room, a work room for my mom..and once they finish that basement...yeah. Its a gorgeous home, and the view is wonderful. I'm sure they will enjoy living there.
While in Salt Lake, we got to look for Prom dresses for my little sister and her friend. It was fun for the most part. Unfortunatly like anything else after a long day of looking, you just get tired. That night though we got Cafe Rio, which was wonderful...I would have gladly had it another two times. Such a good place. Yum.
I also got to have ice cream some of my old roomates.. It was sooo cool to see them and how they were doing. The looked wonderful. I love my life, don't get me wrong, but part of me was a little jealous. They all seemed to still be enjoying life like we did in college...I know there is always good and bad though. Its just tough sometimes living here in Jasper, IN..where sometimes it feels like I have no friends around. I do, just none that I'm REALLY tight with..and one of these friends will be leaving soon. Such is life I guess. Anyway, so it was great to see them and catch up!
Well, now we are back home and the long drive is behind us once more...till next time at least.
I got it Done!
I just wanted to post a picture of my cross stich that I have been working on forever! I started this like back before Jason and I got married...and then I put it away for a very long time. I was looking through my cross stich stuff when I found and decided to finish it. It was fun...and took a long time, I love to see the finished product at then end...it makes it all worth it.
