Blessing Day

Well, yesterday, August 30th we had Rylan's blessing. Since he is going to be 3 months this week, we figured it was probably about time. :0) It was a great day. Jason's parents, along with his brother Trevor, his aunt and uncle, and cousin came down from Boise for the occasion. His sister Jessica and her fiance came up from Las Vegas, and he had and aunt and uncle and some cousins here that came as well. I had my family that lives in the area, and two of my cousins, Jeff and Marianne along with Marianne's husband Bradley came as well. It is so nice to have so much family around and to have them be part of such a special day. After the blessing we all came back to my parents house and ate and hung out. It was nice seeing everyone and getting to know some of them better. The house was packed!

As far as the blessing it self goes, it was a nice once and Rylan was such a good boy. He tends to have a temper at times, and loves to scream. He is getting better, but it can be hard to catch him in a good mood. So leading up to the event I was so worried that he was going to be screaming and I wasn't going to be able to hear a thing, but he was mostly quite. A couple of times he started to fuss and I thought, oh no, here it comes, but he calmed back down. His outfit was made by my Mom, Grandma Mullis. She is so talented and it looked so good on him. No one would have guessed that she got it done in like two days and was finishing putting the buttons on that morning :0)

Congrats! That is cool that you had so much family there. I can't believe how big he is getting.

That is one loved little boy! What great families you both have and so much support! I hear that second children are always the hardest, hang in there, hopefully he'll grow out of it. Nathan grew out of it around six or seven months.
