Well, Easter has now come and gone and we had a wonderful day. It started off with our kids hanging out in bed with us for a little while since they didn't know what was waiting for them downstairs. I know this will change since Kiera is starting to get old enough to know what is going on. we went down stairs and the kids enjoyed figuring out why there were Easter baskets at their seats. It seems to always take my kids, even Kiera a little while to figure out what is going on, no matter how much we talk it up. They both enjoyed their new bubble guns they got. Kiera also got a princess towel and Rylan got a bowling toy.

When we went down stairs to the basement to find eggs, they got into that really quickly. I don't know why but my kids have to open the eggs as they get them. So instead of a made race to get as many eggs as possible, Kiera grabs and many as she can, opens the candy, and then goes and gets more. Mean while Rylan is grabbing one egg, opening it, putting the candy in his basket and the egg on the couch. They had fun with the whole thing, so thats all that matters.

| This was Rylans spot on the couch for the eggs after he had taken the contents and put them in his basket. |
Rylan had problems at breakfast that morning, you see Rylan has a bit of a chocolate addiction. So when we went up to eat breakfast, he didn't want to eat. He cried for what seemed like forever because he wanted his chocolate, not his cereal. We were finally able to get some decent food down him, and then straight to the chocolate.
We spent the rest of the morning playing with their new toys and then off to church. We then went up to my moms house and spent the rest of the night hanging out with the family. We did things a little backward and painted the eggs that afternoon at my parents. My brother Eric really wanted to be part of it, so we waited since the kids don't know any difference at this point.

Oh . . . the family easter egg coloring. We haven't done that in YEARS! Maybe I really am a bad Mom.
That sounds like the most perfect day. Your kids are so sweet and adorable! I love how they were easter egg hunting. How cute.
